3.HAZARD INDENTICATION

Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed, risk of damage to eyes. Skin and eye irritant, can cause redness and dermatitis in prolonged and repeated exposure to skin, wear suitable gloves, eye/face mask. May cause respiratory irritation; vapour irritating to eyes and breathing, use in well-ventilated area. Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long term adverse effect in aquatic environment.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Skin Contact: Avoid exposure to the sun or other forms of UV light, wash with soap or skin cleaner, remove any contaminated clothing, if persistent skin irritation takes place seek medical attention. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, give plenty of water to drink seek medical attention. Inhalation: Remove to fresh air; if symptoms persist seek medical attention. Eye Contact: Flush with copious volumes of water, seek immediate attention, and do not expose contaminated eyes to UV or sunlight as the exposure can cause sensitivity.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURE

Extinguishing Media: Water spray, dry chemical, foam, or carbon dioxide. Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Wear shelf contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing. . Unusual Fire / Exposure Hazards: Thermal decomposition can lead to noxious irritant fumes – CO CO 2 oxides of nitrogen black and acrid smoke. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURE

Handling Protection: Ventilate area, wear eye protection and gloves. Leaks and Spills:

Contain and absorb with dry lime or soda ash, collect in plastic Containers, smaller amounts can be absorbed with sand and then disposed.

Clean – up Procedures: Transfer to suitable container for disposal in accordance with pertinent national regulations.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Storage Precaution: Store in cool, dry area out of direct sunlight between 5 – 20°C away from direct UV or sunlight, away from direct sources of heat or Ignition in its original plastic container, do not store in non-original container. Handling requirements: When using large volumes ensure that the work area is well ventilated, continuous inhalation can cause irritation to eyes and respiratory. Incompatible with amines, base materials, water, keep container out of direct sunlight or UV light.

8. EXPOSURE AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

Eye Protection: Safety glasses conforming to suitable use with chemicals, UV visor when product is being used with UV lamp. Skin Protection: Viton or nitrile gloves, coveralls, avoid cotton materials. Ventilation: General or local exhaust recommended, acrylic acid exposure is 10 ppm (30mg /m³ ) 8 hrs TWA and 20 ppm (60mg/m³) 15 min STEL (EH40/2002). In poorly ventilated area use respirators with type A filter.

10. REACTIVITY AND STABILITY

Stability:

Stable at normal temperature.

Condition to avoid:

Polymerisation can occur if materials are mixed with amines or water or subjected to UV light, heat, low oxygen

Materials to avoid:

In liquid state water and strong alkalis, reducing metal oxides, base materials, metals such as copper, rusty steel, mild steel, aluminium.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Oral:

Overall LD50 (rat) expected to be in the range of 1,500 – 2000 mg/kg. Ingestion may cause nausea, weakness and CNS effect. Overall LC50 (rat) value expected to be >3,000mg/kg. Skin: Expected to be low – LD50 (rabbit) estimated to be 3,000mg/kg.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Product is classified dangerous to the environment by conventional methods as detailed in schedule 3, part1 and 11 of CHIP3 Regulations – R51/53 toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long term effect in aquatic environments. This is principally due to aliphatic acrylates.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Waste Disposal:

Solid adhesives can be land filled in accordance with all applicable local and national

regulations.
