Aerospace Sealant Scraper Smoothing Tool

Sealant Smoothing Scraper Tools This sealant scraper is made of quality orange glass filled Nylon plastic. Designed with a double angle tip with rounded end for holding comfort. Nylon is more chemically resistant in using with solvents for scraping hardened sealant. This scraper measures 6" long, 3/4" wide, 3/16" thick- ness. The scraper is orange to assist in FOD needs. This scraper is identified by its colour. The scraper is used to scrape sealant off areas requiring rework or tidy-up. Such areas include the exterior pressurized fuselage skin: Lap Joints, Butt Joints. All other areas (i.e. antenna cut- outs, wing to body fairings, around window forgings, etc). For user comfort, the scraper side edg- es have been smoothed off.

The scraper is orange to assist in FOD needs. Supplied in sealed packs with batch codes.
