AC7 9 0S 2nd Generation DMPT Free Activator

Solvent-based activator designed to accelerating the curing process of C yanoacrylate adhesives. AC7 9 0S is suitable for bonding non porous synthetic substrates, such as plastics and elastomers. It is 100% non-staining on uPVC and approved for both indoor and outdoor applications, exhibiting no corrosive effects resulting from water droplet interactions or ultraviolet radiation exposure.

Fixture Time vs. Activator AC7 9 0S activator may be used with cyanoacrylates where a faster cure speed is required. Fixture times of less than 5 seconds can be obtained with most cyanoacrylates. Testing on the parts to measure the effect is recommended. Surface Cure Test Test results demonstrate that AC7 9 0S exhibits superior consistency in performance relative to other formulations evaluated, with significant enhancements observed compared to both prior DMPT and first-generation DMPT-Free formulations. Activator efficacy was assessed using two high-viscosity grades: GB01 from the Multi-Purpose range and GB16 from the High Performance, surface-insensitive range.

Cyanoacrylate Activator

uPVC Stain Test A single spray application executed under optimal conditions: direct sunlight at approximately 24°C, with detailed inspection. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiance measured at approximately 2 mW/cm² under overcast conditions, reaching up to 4.95 mW/cm² under clear, sunny conditions.

Evaporation vs Mass Dispensing Solvent-based activators utilize the solvent as a carrier medium to deposit the primary active compound onto the bonding substrate. Efficient application minimizes product wastage attributable to over-dispensing. Excessive dispensation can increase surface wetness, potentially flooding the adhesive interface and impairing adhesion performance. A single, controlled spray is sufficient to achieve optimal application, thereby reducing material consumption and operational costs.

Evaporation Time Test Aerosol sprayed for 2secs, on to hard plastic surface from ~15cm distance. Time measured for complete evaporation from plastic surface. Conditions 14°C RH46%.

Mass Dispensing Test Aerosol sprayed for 10 secs, Aerosol weighed before and after each test. Conditions: Temperature 18.0°C, RH 45.0%

Warm/Cold Evaporation Test Conditions: Room temperature; 16.5C RH46.3%, warm test; aerosol heated to 35C for 3hrs, Cold test; aerosol stored at 8-9°C for 24hrs.

Directions For Use

1. Make sure the surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry.

2. Apply activator to the area to be bonded.

3. Wait for the solvent carrier to evaporate.

4. Apply appropriate cyanoacrylate to one of the surfaces and assemble parts.
